How to choose a gaming chair

Start with height, not colour

Across this whole category one specification genuinely decides whether a chair will be right for you: the recommended user height, given in centimetres in the Parametry tab of each model. The ranges differ between lines — some start lower and suit shorter users better, others reach higher and make more sense above 190 cm.

If you are close to the edge of a range, choose a model whose range you fall inside with room to spare. A chair chosen right at the limit usually means either a seat too high with your feet hanging, or a headrest pressing against your neck instead of the back of your head.

Load rating and gas lift

Two safety specifications, identical across the range and stated explicitly by the manufacturer: maximum user weight 150 kg and a class 4 gas lift. Class 4 is the highest of the commonly used gas cylinder classes in swivel chairs. We do not round these figures or interpret them upwards.

Upholstery — a choice between isolation and temperature

Three options appear in the range, and what mainly separates them is how they behave in the second hour:

• PU eco-leather — smooth, easiest to clean (a wipe with a damp cloth), the most "chair-like" in feel. It warms up the most in summer and over long sessions.
• Stain-resistant fabric — breathes better than eco-leather, more comfortable in a warm room, and a finish resistant to liquids and dirt makes life easier at a desk where you eat and drink.
• Mesh — the best ventilated of the three, and a different character entirely: closer to an ergonomic office chair than to a bucket-seat racing chair.

If your room runs warm or you play long sessions, lean towards fabric or mesh. If you want easy cleaning and a classic look, eco-leather.

Backrest recline

The recline range splits the offer in two. Racing-style chairs recline very far, close to lying flat — useful if you also treat the chair as somewhere to take a break or watch something. Ergonomic mesh builds recline considerably less and are designed for working in a more upright position. The exact minimum and maximum angles are on each model's page.

Separately there is a rocking (multiblock) mechanism that locks the seat tilt within a set range. That range is also in the specification — not every model has it documented.

Armrests: 3D or 4D

3D means adjustment in three directions — most often up/down, forward/back and pivot. 4D adds a fourth, usually lateral slide. The more adjustment, the easier it is to set the armrest so your forearm rests naturally at your desk height without lifting your shoulder. If your desk is a fixed height, more armrest adjustment is genuinely useful.

Headrest and lumbar support

Three implementations appear: a lumbar cushion and a strap-mounted headrest (removable, included), a built-in flexible lumbar section, and adjustable support integrated into the backrest. A separate variant is a magnetically mounted headrest — it holds without elastic straps and repositions in one movement, which in practice means it does not slide down mid-session.

In every case the cushions are in the box; nothing has to be bought separately.

Casters and base

Every chair has a five-star aluminium base and five polyurethane casters. Polyurethane is soft and rolls across laminate, parquet or tiles without scratching — unlike hard black plastic wheels. The range uses two caster diameters; larger ones cross carpet-to-hard-floor transitions more easily, smaller ones can be quieter.

What we do not state

Plainly, so you don't have to guess from the description:

• Seat height from the floor is not published by the manufacturer, so we do not advise on matching a chair to a particular desk height. If your desk is an unusual height, write to info@lorgar.pl.
• Assembly time, tool list and whether a second person is needed — LORGAR does not publish these for its chairs. The chair arrives flat-packed for self-assembly, with the fixings included.
• Spare part availability (casters, gas cylinder, armrest pads) is not documented; ask us if it matters to you.
• Certifications are mentioned only on models where the manufacturer states them — we do not extend them across the category.

On ergonomics we say what the manufacturer says: an ergonomic build and solid construction provide good support for the body, in gaming and in everyday work. We make no health promises, because we have no basis for them.

Every chair carries a 24-month manufacturer warranty verified by serial number.

How do I match a chair to my height?

Check the "user height" field in the Parametry tab — it is the only specification that genuinely answers this. The ranges differ between lines; pick one you fall inside with room to spare rather than at the limit.

What weight will the chair take?

The load rating is 150 kg and is the same on every model.

What does "class 4 gas lift" mean?

It is the class of the gas cylinder that handles height adjustment — the highest of those commonly used in swivel chairs. Every LORGAR chair uses class 4.

Eco-leather, fabric or mesh — which stays coolest?

Mesh ventilates best, then fabric, then eco-leather. Eco-leather is, in return, the easiest to clean.

What is the difference between 3D and 4D armrests?

The number of adjustment directions: 3D usually up/down, forward/back and pivot; 4D adds lateral slide. More adjustment makes it easier to match your desk height.

How far does the backrest recline?

It depends on the model — racing-style chairs recline close to flat, ergonomic mesh builds considerably less. Exact angles are on each model's page.

Are the cushions included?

Yes. Depending on the model that is a lumbar cushion and a strap headrest, a magnetic headrest, or support integrated into the backrest — but nothing needs buying separately.

Will the casters scratch laminate flooring?

The casters are polyurethane, i.e. soft and intended for hard floors. That is a meaningful difference from hard plastic wheels.

Does the chair need assembling, and how long does it take?

The chair arrives for self-assembly, with the fixings included. The manufacturer does not publish assembly time or a tool list, so we will not supply one on its behalf — with a parcel this large and heavy it is worth having help.

What is the warranty, and can I return a chair?

24 months of manufacturer's warranty verified by serial number, plus 2 years of liability for the goods' conformity with the contract. You have 14 days from receiving the parcel to return without giving a reason — rules in Complaints and returns. Returning a chair is easier with the original packaging, so it is worth keeping until you are sure.
