Two decisions, and that really is all

Decision one: melamine or glass top

Melamine is a board with a melamine coating — resistant to scratches, moisture and wear, with a matte finish that does not reflect your lamp or your screen. That matte surface is a genuine advantage over long sessions and while recording, because it does not catch glare. A terminology note: the manufacturer's global site calls this version "wooden", but it is not a wooden top — it is a board with a melamine coating, and that is how we describe it.

Tempered glass with an oleophobic coating feels harder and is the easiest to wipe down, and the oleophobic layer limits fingerprints. It looks more striking, but reflects light more than matte melamine — with a lamp behind you, that can get in the way.

A practical note: if you plan to clamp a monitor arm or a microphone boom to the top, read "What these desks do not have" below before choosing the glass version.

Decision two: with or without a PC chassis

Some LORGAR desks have a built-in PC chassis integrated into the structure — the computer then sits neither on the floor nor on the desktop but inside the desk, with the ports brought out to the front. It makes sense if you build your own PC or plan to: the specifications that decide compatibility (supported motherboard format, maximum graphics card length, CPU cooler height, supported liquid-cooling radiators, drive count and sizes, maximum PSU length) are in the Parametry tab. Check them against your actual components before ordering.

The versions without a chassis are simpler and cost less; the computer stands beside the desk, and the desk still hides the cables.

What every model shares

Dual-motor electric height adjustment. Two motors raise the top evenly, and the adjustment range is in each model's specification. It covers both seated and standing positions — the desk supports working either way, and moving between them is a button press.

Position memory. A control panel with a display stores two set heights and returns to them at a single button press, instead of eyeballing the height every time.

Load capacity. The maximum load is in the specification; the manufacturer notes that the desk supports multi-monitor configurations. Note: in the shop this field is currently labelled "Pojemność (2)" — it is the load rating.

Power and charging. Built into the top are a Qi wireless charger, USB-A and USB-C ports and 230 V mains sockets — the number of sockets depends on the model. In practice it means your phone, headphones and controller charge on the desk rather than across the room.

Cable management with a hidden compartment. A metal cable routing system plus an enclosed compartment where the power strip and surplus cable disappear. It is the element that most changes how a setup looks once assembled — and the only reason a height-adjustable desk stays tidy at all.

RGB lighting in strips integrated into the structure, with the option to switch it off.

What these desks do not have

Stated plainly, because these are features buyers often look for in a gaming desk:

• No integrated mouse pad surface in the top. You choose a pad separately — in the XXL formats around 90 cm long it works as a mat for the whole desk; see mouse pads.
• No cup holder and no headset hook.
• No choice of top size or colour — the desktop dimensions are the same across the range and there is one colour. That simplifies the decision but is worth knowing when planning a room: the dimensions are in the Parametry tab.
• Clamping a monitor arm or a microphone boom is not documented by the manufacturer — there is no stated desktop thickness and no information on whether a clamp is permitted, especially on the glass top. We will not guess at this, because getting it wrong means a cracked top. If you are planning a clamp mount, write to info@lorgar.pl before ordering and we will check the documentation.
• Lift speed, noise level in decibels and anti-collision detection are not published by the manufacturer, so we do not claim them. The manufacturer describes the motors as quiet.

The lighting is operated with hardware buttons. Control from the LORGAR PLATFORM app appears in some of the manufacturer's material, but the app's own device roster does not confirm it — so we do not sell that as a certainty. Ask us if it matters to you.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a fixed-height version?

No. Every LORGAR desk has dual-motor electric height adjustment.

Melamine or glass?

Melamine is matte, does not reflect light, and resists scratches and moisture. Tempered glass with an oleophobic coating looks more striking and wipes clean more easily, but reflects light more. If you plan a clamp mount on the top, ask us about compatibility first.

What load will the desk take?

The maximum load is in the Parametry tab; the manufacturer notes that the desk supports multi-monitor configurations.

How many positions does it remember?

Two. You save them on the control panel with its display and return to them at a single button press.

Is the desk loud when it rises, and how fast does it move?

The manufacturer describes the motors as quiet, but does not publish a noise level in decibels or a lift speed — so we do not quote those.

Will the desk stop if it hits an obstacle?

The manufacturer does not declare anti-collision detection, so we do not promise it. When adjusting the height, make sure the space above and below the top is clear.

Can I clamp a monitor arm to the top?

This is the one question in this category we cannot answer from the documentation — the manufacturer does not publish the desktop thickness or whether a clamp is permitted, particularly on the glass version. Write to us before ordering and we will check.

How many sockets and USB ports does the desk have?

The desks have a built-in Qi wireless charger, USB-A and USB-C ports and 230 V mains sockets. The number of sockets depends on the model and is in the specification.

What PC will fit in the chassis version?

Supported motherboard format, maximum graphics card length, CPU cooler height, supported radiators, drive count and PSU length are in the Parametry tab. Check them against the components you have or plan to buy.

Does the desk need assembling, and what is the warranty?

The desk arrives for self-assembly, with screws and wrenches included; the manufacturer does not publish an assembly time. Given the weight of the frame and the size of the top, it is worth assembling with two people.
