What every LORGAR microphone has in common

Worth starting here, so you don't look for choices that aren't on offer.

They are all USB. You connect them straight to the computer, with no audio interface and no phantom power. LORGAR does not offer XLR microphones — if you are building a chain around an audio interface and want XLR, this is not the category, and we would rather say so now.

They are all condenser. A condenser capsule is more sensitive and reproduces high frequencies more faithfully than a dynamic one — which is why it sounds good on speech and vocals. There is a consequence worth knowing before you buy: a condenser picks up more of the room. Your keyboard, your computer's fan and the reverberation of the room will be more audible than through a dynamic microphone.

They all use a cardioid pattern (unidirectional) — picking up mainly from the front, much less from the sides, least from behind. In practice that means the microphone should point at you rather than at the computer, and that whatever sits behind it is largely cut out. It is the best pattern for a one-person stream.

They are all desktop microphones, supplied with a stand or a base. There are no lavalier or headset microphones in the range.

How the models differ

In this category, price is mostly what comes in the box and what you can control, not a step change in capsule class.

The mounting kit. The simplest models come with a desk base. Further up you get a metal stand, a shock mount (which reduces the thump of knocks on the desk) and a pop filter (which softens the blast on "p" and "b" sounds). The fullest kits include a boom arm that clamps to the desk, bringing the microphone out over the desk and letting you set it right by your mouth, away from the keyboard. If you are buying for longer sessions, a boom arm in the box is usually worth more than the difference in the specification.

Controls. The range includes volume and mute knobs, an echo-reduction knob, a touch mute button with an indicator LED and, on the top model, a wireless mute remote you can leave beside the keyboard. Muting in one movement, without hunting for a shortcut in software, is a feature you appreciate the first time the phone rings mid-stream.

Headphone monitoring. Some models have a 3.5 mm headphone output that lets you hear yourself directly from the microphone. It helps you control your distance from the capsule and how loudly you speak. Not every model has it, and we do not claim "zero latency" for this output — LORGAR does not publish such a figure.

RGB lighting appears on part of the range; on models that support LORGAR PLATFORM you configure it in the app.

How much is published. An honest note: not every model lists frequency response, sensitivity and signal-to-noise ratio in its specification. Some product pages carry those fields and some do not. If you are comparing microphones by numbers, check whether both pages actually have them — and if data is missing, write to info@lorgar.pl before deciding.

Compatibility

This is the category where LORGAR documents compatibility most precisely of anywhere in the shop. The microphones are described as working with Windows, macOS, Android and PlayStation, and in software with Discord, OBS, FL Studio and Skype. They work plug and play, with no additional software to install.

What the manufacturer does not list: Xbox, Nintendo Switch or Streamlabs. That does not mean something will fail — it means we have no basis on which to promise it. If you use one of them, write to us before ordering.

Every microphone carries a 24-month manufacturer warranty verified by serial number.

Frequently asked questions

USB or XLR — which should I choose?

USB plugs straight into the computer and records immediately. XLR needs an audio interface and phantom power, but gives more flexibility as your setup grows. LORGAR offers USB microphones only.

What does "condenser" mean, and is it better than dynamic?

A condenser is more sensitive and reproduces detail more faithfully — it sounds excellent on speech. A dynamic picks up less of the room. In a quiet room the condenser wins; in a noisy one you need to work on acoustics or on your distance from the microphone.

Will the microphone pick up my keyboard?

It may — that is a natural property of condenser microphones. Three things help: a shock mount, moving the microphone away from the keyboard (ideally onto a boom arm), and speaking closer to it so you can reduce the gain.

Are a pop filter and a boom arm included?

It depends on the model — that is the main difference between models in this category. Box contents are in the "Dołączone akcesoria" field of the Parametry tab.

Can I plug headphones into the microphone?

Some models have a 3.5 mm headphone output for monitoring. Check the description of the model you want.

How do I mute mid-broadcast?

Depending on the model: with a mute knob, a touch button with an indicator LED, or a wireless remote sitting beside your keyboard.

Will the microphone work with OBS and Discord?

Yes — the manufacturer lists Discord, OBS, FL Studio and Skype on its microphones. Streamlabs is not listed; if you use it, write to us before ordering.

Will it work with a console?

The manufacturer lists PlayStation. Xbox and Nintendo Switch are not listed and we do not claim compatibility with them.

Do I need drivers?

No. The microphones are plug and play. LORGAR PLATFORM is useful for RGB lighting on models that have it.

What is the warranty, and can I return a microphone?

24 months of manufacturer's warranty verified by serial number, plus 2 years of liability for the goods' conformity with the contract. You have 14 days from receiving the parcel to return without giving a reason — rules in Complaints and returns, payment methods in the Shop regulations.
